The government will give a total of Rs 314 crore
According to the announcement by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, free travel will be permanent in the DTC buses of women coming from outer states along Delhi-NCR from Bhaiya Dooj (Tuesday). It is being said that this scheme of free travel in DTC buses will benefit private companies and government employees as well as students. There are around 5500 DTC and cluster buses in Delhi under this scheme and preparations are on to unload 3000 new buses on the roads soon, so that the transport system can be further improved.
According to the information received, Single Journey Pass will be given to the women taking benefit of free travel in DTC buses. This pass will be of pink color. For every ‘pink ticket’ issued by the operator to women, the Delhi government will pay Rs 10 to the operator.
Talking to news agency ANI on Monday about Bhaiya Dooj, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that about 13000 marshals will be deployed in all the buses of Delhi from Tuesday in view of the safety of people, especially women.
आज हमारी दिल्ली की सभी बहनें VIP हो गयीं। अभी तक केवल MP और MLAs को ही फ़्री यात्रायें मिलती थीं। अब सभी महिलाओं की भी यात्रा फ़्री हो गयी। https://t.co/aP55nR5V5X

Millions of female students and women will get benefit
It is being told that a large number of students will also get the benefit of traveling in free buses along with women. Not only this, women coming from outside will also be given benefits.
However, the biggest question here is that if the buses are crowded due to the announcement of free travel, what are the arrangements with the government? In response to the question, Minister Kailash Gehlot said the government believes that ridership should increase, this decision is related to women’s safety. Public transport is considered the safest vehicle in the world. Women feel safe in DTC and cluster buses. If the crowd grows after the decision is implemented, then the government is ready for that too. New buses will start coming on the streets of Delhi from next month.
