Kolkata Knight Riders (RCB)
Kolkata Knight Riders is a popular Indian Premier League (IPL) team, based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The team was established in 2008 and is owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla, and her spouse Jay Mehta. The team has won the IPL championship twice, in 2012 and 2014. The team is known for its strong fan base and is often referred to as “KKR.”
On April 1, in Mohali, Kolkata Knight Riders are scheduled to face off against Punjab Kings in their opening match for the IPL 2023 season. Despite being a two-time champion, KKR had a lackluster performance in the 2022 campaign, finishing seventh in the league stage. The team, led by Shreyas Iyer, has now been placed in group A. The full list of fixtures, along with the venues and match timings, has been released. The final match of IPL 2023 will be held on May 28th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
