Being the largest stations in India, The New Delhi Railway Station is considered as one of the busiest railway stations of India as it handles approx. 300 trains every day from 18 platforms and 17 tracks. As a result, it has turned as the major destination that connects and transport people to different parts of the country via numerous superfast, express and local trains. It is one of the well-facilitated stations in India where computerized reservation facility, enquiry counter and electronic luggage checking centers are located for the ease of public.
The station code of New Delhi Railway Station is NDLS.

The station is located in the center of Delhi, where from Connaught Place is just 2 km away. The station is also connected with the NCR region in about 19 kms from Ghaziabad, 31 km from Gurgaon, etc. The station is also has a great connection with the Kashmere Gate Inter State Bus Terminal. The terminal enables the tourists to continue their onward journey with the regular and state bus services. So, in this way, tourists can easily make their travel convenient by taking the bus service from New Delhi Railway Station. Apart from the bus terminal, there is international airport i.e. Indira Gandhi international Airport is also located nearby the NDLS.

NDLS is also known for having the record of the largest route interlocking system in the world. There is approx. 360 000 passengers footfall is seen on NDLS that somehow occupies 86 hectares of land. As the station is always occupy with a large number of people, so it is connected with the Delhi Metro service, to bring ease to tourists. The yellow line metro is connected with the NDLS. The station is also connected with the pre-paid taxi stands that enable the travellers to reach their homes or hotels. As the station is quite a busy place, therefore there are several eating places located and travellers from every class can afford it.

As, NDLS serves a large number of people everyday, therefore the security of the station is also a prime concern of the government and hence there is well-trained team of cops is placed to look after the security and keeps the station stay away from various threats. So, New Delhi Railway Station welcomes and travellers from every nook and corner of the world and also provides them nice see off.
