Delhi has almost 500 Taxi stands and somewhere around 6,000 taxis out which most of these taxis are Maruti Eeco. In 2006, when radio taxi arrived, Black and Yellow cab had a first hit. App oriented Cab companies like Ola and uber were arrived in 2014, which have almost replaced black and yellow taxis.
But still there are few hotels and permanent customers for these Black and Yellow taxis. Some people still trust these old styled taxis for their commute between Home or offices to Airport or Railway Station etc. Delhi is India’s only city in which Taxi operates on natural gas compressed. In Delhi, taxis are painted in Black and Yellow color (often called as Kaali Peeli Taxi).
