Holi 2023: Delhi Metro Would Open at 2.30 PM on March 8; Read Advice

The HOLI festival will begin in just one day’s time. The excitement that attendees are feeling for the festival is palpable, as water pistols and coloured powders are being sold in virtually every nook and cranny of the market. In the meantime, there would be disruptions to the services provided by the Delhi metro on the day of Holi, which falls on March 8, 2023.

Officials announced on Monday that the commencement time for the Delhi Metro services on the day of Holi will be at 2.30 p.m. The celebration of the festival of colours is set to take place on March 8 this year.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued a statement that read, “On the day of the ‘Holi’ festival, i.e., March 8, 2023 (Wednesday), metro services will not be available until 14.30hrs (2:30 PM) on all lines of Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line.” This information was included in the statement.

It was said that on that particular day, metro train services would begin at 2.30 p.m. from the terminal stations of all lines, and would continue to operate regularly after that point. By 2:30 p.m. on March 8, officials have stated that Metro feeder bus services will also begin operating again.

On the day of the ‘Holi’ festival, i.e., 8th March, 2023 (Wednesday), Metro services will not be available till 14.30 hrs (2:30 PM) on all lines of Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line.

In addition, an advisory was issued by the Delhi Police Department for Holi celebrations in the nation’s capital. In an official statement, the police indicated that stern action will be taken against intoxicated driving. They also mentioned that officials will keep a watch on black films, triple riding, underage driving, and driving without a helmet.
