The Delhi Government will now bear all the expenditures related with road accidents. Not only Government will bear the expenses but will also encourage people people will help victims. Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently launched this drive named as Farishte Dilli Ke to motivate people who take trauma care patients to Hospitals. No matter what kind of Hospital it is, Government, Semi Private or even a Luxurious Private Hospital will now provide treatment to the accident victim and Delhi Government will pay the whole expenses. Though this scheme was launched in year 2017 but as Delhi Elections are approaching, almost every Political Party is proclaiming their social welfare efforts and Aam Aadmi Party is publicizing it very well in mediums in Newspaper, TV, Radio etc.
Apart from paying expenses of hospitalization and treatment to the accident hit victim, Delhi Government will also reward the person who will help victim reaching hospital with Rs 2,000 and a certificate. “Every life is precious to us, and we will do and spend whatever we can to save every life. I’m delighted to be formally inaugurating the Farishte Dilli Ke’ scheme, and I hope that every Delhiite can be a farishta’ one day,” Arvind Kejriwal said.
To assure this Farishte Dilli Ke scheme information reaches the needy people, the health department has directed all private hospitals and nursing homes in Delhi to put up permanent information boards in their premises at prominent locations.
“The possibility of survival increase by almost 70-80% if a person is taken to the hospital within initial one hour of his accident, it is also known as the ‘Golden Hour’ of his life, earlier people were restraint about taking accident victims to the hospital. We still recall how Nirbhaya lost her life, she was on the road for several hours before the police took her to the hospital. This Farishte Dilli Ke scheme is aiming to provide well-timed aid to both the parties ,victim and the helper.
Denial of such medical case by private hospitals and nursing homes would be a illegal offence and the Government will suspend Hospitals’s Certificate if such case is reported. Cashless treatment will be provided to victim of road accident, where the incident has occurred in Delhi, in any Hospital or Nursing Home provided the victim is brought or referred or transferred to the concerned private hospital within 72 hours of the case.

May I know what is the helpline number of farishte dilli ke?
The accident happened on 12th and patient was brought to kalra hospital..they only called the police and informed about the accident but the hospital refuses to add case in farishtey..they asked the wife to submit cash or else operation wouldn’t happen and patient could die.. they made her submit some cash and asked for payment and she didn’t have enough cash and there form didn’t have the option of farishtey scheme so on order to save the life she gave insurance details as they refused to do any treatment without knowing the mode of payment. The insurance papers were never approved by the deceased wife . The hospital despite of multiple injuries, fir and knowing that it’s a severe road accident as mention by them in mlc and the fir, they refuse to grant farishtey scheme where as 72 hours time is given to claim . Please help. The patient is on life support and they are charging a hefty bill on daily basis . Please help .
