When is Dhanteras and Muhurat Timings?

According to the Vedic calendar, this year Kartik Krishna Trayodashi Tithi is starting on November 10 at 12:35 pm. This date is valid till 01:57 pm on 11th November. In such a situation, Pradosh Kaal is starting on 10th November, hence this year Dhanteras is on Friday, 10th November.

According to religious scriptures, Lord Dhanvantari was born on this day. The festival of Dhanteras is celebrated with great pomp on Trayodashi of Krishna Paksha. On this day, there is a tradition of worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, Kuber and Lord Ganesha. According to religious texts, it is said that during the churning of the ocean, Lord Dhanvantari appeared from the ocean with a pot in his hands on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Not only this, according to Manta, Lord Dhanvantari is considered a part of Lord Vishnu. Perhaps this is the reason why Lord Dhanvantari is worshiped ritually on the day of Dhanteras. Not only this, on the day of Dhanteras, there is a tradition to worship Lord Dhanvantari along with Goddess Lakshmi and Kuber Dev.
