The first match of the 2023 Indian Premier League season will be played between the Punjab Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 1 at Mohali. Mohali, Punjab is home to the Indian Premier League side Punjab Kings (PBKS) (IPL). The current owners of King XI Punjab (KXIP) are Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta, and Karan Paul, who formed the franchise in 2008. Home games are played at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Since 2010, they’ve been alternating between Dharamsala and Indore as hosts for home games. Despite 13 years of existence, the team had never once qualified for the postseason until 2014. In that season, they were second in the league.
