Last Updated on March 8, 2023 By Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

The long-awaited Ashram flyover expansion is finally going to be opened to traffic on March 6, 2023, according to recent reports regarding the extension of the Ashram flyover in Delhi. Commuters in Delhi will soon have reason to celebrate this development. It is anticipated that around 13,500 vehicles will benefit from the six-lane flyover extension, which will minimise the amount of time it takes to drive between Delhi and Noida. The length of the extension is 1,425 metres. It is anticipated that the project will end up costing a total of 128.25 crore rupees.

After getting authorization from the Cabinet in June of 2020, building on the newly added portion of the flyover got underway. According to the sources, ninety-five percent of the work has been finished, and the remaining work is reportedly in an advanced state and will most likely be finished within the next few days.

Due to the fact that it is connected to both the Mathura Road and the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) flyway, the Ashram flyover is subjected to considerable traffic on a daily basis. The extension of the flyover is anticipated to improve the flow of vehicular traffic and enable passengers to get around three sets of traffic signals that are located between Ashram Chowk and DND.

Office workers, students, patients, and anyone who need to travel between Delhi and Noida will benefit from the extension of the flyover, which will be inaugurated by Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi. Congestion is a common occurrence for travellers coming from Noida and Ghaziabad bound for South Delhi as they make their way from the DND circle to the Ashram crossroads in South Delhi.

In order to drastically improve the condition of the roads in the nation’s capital during the first year of the project’s implementation, the government of Delhi has planned to spend a total of 4,500 billion rupees. After that, the government will devote Rs. 2,000 crore to the construction and maintenance of roads each year.
