Gurgaon: Commuters who use smart tags on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway can now recharge their toll cards from their cellphones.
With this, motorists equipped with smart tags for Delhi Gurgaon expressway can send an SMS to 53030 from their cellphones and can instantly recharge their account when the balance is low. DSC Ltd, the developers of the expressway and mChek, mobile security and payment services company have introduced the facility to recharge the balance of smart tag through mobile. The initiative has been started to increase the convenience and provide uninterrupted passage to motorists.
‘‘With Delhi-Gurgaon expressway being one of the busiest traffic arteries in the National Highways network, we have collaborated with DSC Ltd. to help users save substantial time and effort,’’ said Sanjay Swamy, CEO, mChek.
Sachin Sharma, VP, Toll Operations, Delhi Gurgaon Super Connectivity Ltd, said, ‘‘Our idea is to provide hassle-free movement to motorists travelling on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway.’’
