The first ever Grand Prix event is just round the corner and fans have already started purchasing the tickets two months in advance.
The event which is going to be held at the Buddh International Circuit hosted in Greater Noida by Jaypee Sports International has already sold over20,000 tickets, which is around r 20% of the total one lakh tickets available. The event is scheduled to happen in October end.
According to the sales report, most of the tickets were sold online, Out of the 7000 tickets priced at Rs 2500 each have been sold out. Fans are now going for more expensive. The tickets have been priced from Rs 2500 to Rs 35000.
Of all the fans, students are most excited about the event. It should be noted that Delhi/NCR has more than 70 management and engineering colleges with more that 2 lakh students. Motorsports are liked by students as it provides thrill. I have planned to join the academy to be set up next year at Buddh International Circuit,“ said Vivek Nagar, a college student.
JK Dutta, president, Federation of Greater Noida Residents Welfare Association said that the event will attractions over one lakh visitors and the authorities should arrange for accommodations well in advance. Besides, bed and breakfast units should be registered in large numbers. This will provide cheap accommodation to visitors. The Jaypee Group’s integrated sports complex located close to City Park is already a hit among foreign visitors and MNC top executives.
