Delhi Metro enters Vaishali

On 14-July, the satellite town of Ghaziabad became the third city in the National Capital Region (NCR) to find a place on the Metro map, after Gurgaon and Noida.By evening, about 30,000 people from Ghaziabad and adjacent areas in Uttar Pradesh (UP) had taken the Metro from the two new stations -Kaushambi and Vaishali -on the 2.57km extended corridor.

Delhi Metro Airport Express Line Started Finally

The Airport Metro line finally rolled out on Wednesday afternoon, four months after it was initially scheduled to start operations. The first public-private partnership venture in the rail sector took off only partially as work on two stations — out of the designated six — is yet to be completed.

NDLS - IGI Airport Line could start in few days

While the line is expected to become operational in around a week’s time, CMRS R K Kardam has recommended cutting down the speed of the trains and reconsidering the security set-up. Once this line start, Passengers can avail of the check-in facility at three stations - New Delhi, Shivaji and Dhaula Kuan. The first two will also do baggage check-in.

Delhi Metro Phase III

According to senior Delhi government sources, the alignment of the 105km phase III network is ready, with suggestions given by the government having been incorporated.
